This week we are joined by Mike's hetero life mate, Ian, to recast the 80's comedy, Trading Places. This classic tackles serious social issues relating to socioeconomics and race very delicately and with great nuance. This is no laughing matter.
I'm just kidding, they make fun of everyone in a very crass and un-PC way with all of the 80's charm that you would expect. There are a couple of cringe worthy jokes but for the most part, this was a refreshing for a movie to make jokes and not apologize about it.
With fun performances from Eddie Murphy, who had barely boarded his rocket ship to stardom when this movie was released and Jamie Lee Curtis, who was trying to break out of the horror/suspense "it" girl role to Dan Akroyd, who was fully famous by this time.
Come take a list and see who we choose to recast these classic characters.
