We recorded today's conversation on location at Sugar Creek Snowy & Sweet Ice Cream Shop at 150 S. Main Street in Woodstock. This is part of our Tourism Tuesday series - Shenandoah County edition - so joining me for the chat was Kary Haun from Shenandoah County's tourism office.
Kary's guest: Melissa Rader is the owner of the ice cream shop who graciously agreed to host our conversation. Melissa told us how her business got started (in Strasburg) and how it's grown to the location in Woodstock, mobile events at local schools, and most recently with a bus that will park in Strasburg & Mount Jackson in the coming weeks.
We talked about the ice cream that the shop offers that comes from a creamery in Pennsylvania. Melissa explained her passion and commitment to finding the perfect frozen treat to offer in her shop(s) and how she happened upon this product.
