When Someone Pulls Away

— And You Didn't Do Anything Wrong —

There is a very specific kind of confusion that settles into the heart when someone who once felt warm, open, and connected suddenly pulls away. No argument. No obvious rupture. Just a subtle closing—a stiffness, a lack of eye contact, a feeling in your body that something has shifted.

If you're empathic, intuitive, or deeply perceptive, your nervous system notices immediately. And then, almost automatically, the mind begins its search: What did I do? What did I say? Was my tone off? My face? My timing?

In this episode of The Voice of Intuition Podcast, Laura Alden Kamm offers a grounding truth that many sensitive people need to hear: when someone pulls away without explanation—and there has been no harm, conflict, or boundary violation—it is almost never because you did something wrong.

More often, something inside their nervous system has been activated—old memory, grief, longing, or unprocessed emotion—and they may not have the awareness or internal resources to regulate it.

This episode is an invitation to come back into your body, reclaim your dignity, and stop abandoning yourself in the search for answers that were never yours to carry.

PS: There's a new baby in The Voice of Intuition family! 🎉 In-Tu-It Tuesday—short, punchy, intuitive, and spiritual insights—drops every Tuesday, alongside the more in-depth Thursday episodes of The VOI Podcast.
