The state of our human existence is one of pain...and the avoidance of pain. It comes at us like a predator. We seek to avoid or deny, or eliminate it; but pain endures in this life as a reminder of something profound: that we can rise beyond it, even use it, even find a GIFT in the process of pain. God uses our pain…physical, emotional, mental…At the point where it seems to consume us, we cry out..."Why have you forsaken me?"
Pain is the bridge to reach beyond our physical state...to pierce the veil of human weakness; to transcend the body and touch the Spirit. The Father hears us; He uses that to draw us back to Him.
