Hey guys,
This is our second show recorded from Algonquin College Bartending Program with special guests: Mike (covering for Cam as you noticed Cam is still looking for the perfect picture travelling the world), Spencer Proulx (a graduate of the bartending program), and finally return of Shelley Gibson (presently in the program).

Today, we will talk about "The Bacardi Cocktail" from the 1917 in Cuba which is not a "tiki" drink but has a cool history of the drink and was created in the Caribbean. It's the Daq's brother (spin off) which has a weird history. You wondering...well find out!!

This drink goes into a coupe glass and we will talk about my favorite glass and some of the history of the glass. Not what you think. Plus, we will talk about glassware (in general) which is also important to the drink.

We get into more information about the bartending course like what unique drinks they are creating, what course is Shelley's favorite. What can you get out of the course as Spencer explains. Wondering...listen to find out!

We talk about the upcoming event "Made with Love" which is a local competition for bartenders/mixologist. Some cool facts about the event.

In the "Did You Know?" segment, we will talk more about Prohibition. We cover the dates of the 18th amendment. We talk about "speak easy" bars and what does that mean? Listen to find out! You will need the password to get in!!

Woman actually started to got to the bars that before Prohibition was not allowed to go to. How did the bars survive during Prohibition and who was going to them?

Recipe:
1.5 oz Rum
0.5 oz Lime Juice
0.25 oz Grenadine

Shake with ice. Strain into chilled coupe glass. Spare the garnish.
