Hey guys, this is part two of my journey to Curacao and another amazing drink we found at the Sunscape Resort near Willemstad, CuraƧao. Sunscape resort site: http://www.sunscaperesorts.com/
Where is Curacao you may ask? Well listen to find out!
This great tropical drink called the "Chill Out" will definitely chill you out if you are having a bad day. With great combinations of coconut rum, melon liqueur, vodka and some OJ; you will soon be thinking what stress??
We go into some more cool facts about Curacao such as:
1) Floating bridge: this bridge is the only one in the world that operates this way which is that it actually moves across the channel to let ships pass but to return for locals so they can get from west side of the island to the east side of the island. Here is a link of the video taken by a travel company of this amazing bridge: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TZks49_PPak 2) Floating market from Venezuela: these Venezuelan farmers actually travel each day to Curacao's Willemstad to sell their fresh fruits and vegetables to the locals and tourists. Here is a video link to this fresh thought: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hffwSOPo5U8
3) Oldest Synagogue in the world: Yes, this Jewish historical site is over 400 years old and the floor is actually sand. Here is a link to a site for that: http://www.snoa.com/
4) Home of a famous statue the "ChiChi": this great art statue has a lot of history to it on this island and the world so check it out: (Video): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EmjoSOJZCQw and the site for them which also shows ChiChi's from around the world: https://chichi-curacao.com/
In the "Traveler's tips" with Norma: we talk about photocopying your passport so if systems down, guess what; you are not! Also, how do you pack and when: here is what not to do by Sebastian Maniscalco's video (and yes it's a good laugh): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lXZMlEy7fb4
Contest winner for February was Heidi Pawluk. Congrats! There will be another in April so stay tuned!!
On our next episode: We will have Mark Keill who is a tiki expert (I say he is) as he has been to over 40 tiki bars in North America so check it out to see what he has to say!
And guess what a new Co-host (for now while Cam is out) Paula Vetori who works on Brockville local radio. Give her a listen on the new episode!!
