El Chavo (pronounced El Csavo) is the brainchild of Paul Murphy, legendary London club DJ of the 1980's, the man who started the whole jazz and latin club scene in the UK and who now lives in Budapest and the irrepressible and multi-talented Hungaro-Colombian David "Double D" Dely, the son of the legendary "Shango Rey" Dely, the top Hungarian percussionist of the 1970's. El Chavo play a mixture of vintage latin, way out '70's funk, soulful jazzy sounds and
with a large helping of modern grooves thrown into the stew.
There has never been anything like this band before in Budapest. Come and see them before they go massive! /
