"I prepared this vinyl mix while being in (an electromagnetic) Field of Heart, which is about 5000 times stronger than electromagnetic fields of brain and the rest of body. Heart itself has its own inteligence because it is a place in which Unconsciousnes resides. It knows about things that mind can’t explain to itself. The Heart is the gate to the Source, energy field filling all that is visible and invisible, and a bridge between our external and internal worlds.
For as long as I remember I see myself as an integral part of amazing all-knowing Universe, organic crystaline vehicle, cosmically influenced non-gender being. I think that this strong feeling of non-seperatedness is the key to using the power of creative Universe. Thanks to that I’m very deeply immersed in the systems of Earth itself and I have a really strong bond with nature. This undisturbed, free flow of energy allows me to communicate with plants and crystals, I feel their energies very strongly. This time I was called by huge bottle-green Agate, transparent Crystal Quartz, small speckled Malachite. Specially designed Orgonite is always with me. They were included in the mix by the way of contact microphone. (You can also hear some sounds of rubbing my rough wall.)
In this mix I wanted to create a parallel universe where different spheres - old and new, electronic and acoustic, beats and abstract noises - clash. I was (only) a receiver (we all are much more than our bodies ;)), my intuition led me, I simply let the sounds flow. Usually I don’t remember what I was doing on stage, what records I played – I get this feeling of „unrealness”."
Karolina Karnacewicz also known as DJ Morgiana uses turntables as proper instruments, experiments with voice, microphones, plants, crystals, objects (for example cotton wool, paper). Her DJ sets are recently expanded with improvisation with electronic devices, like DIY theremin with photoresistors. The outcome is the synergy of ancient spells, fractal fog, digital moss, whispers’ vibrations.
