Think Phil Mickelson, Mike Wier, and Steve Flesch finishing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd at a PGA Tour event, well that¹s exactly what happened at the Collegiate Preview at Walnut Creek with lefty¹s taking the top three spots in the Boys Division. More about that in a minute.
Over 100 players teed it up this past weekend at the Collegiate Preview
played on the Pecan Course at Walnut Creek CC in Mansfield, Texas. Walnut Creek is described by some as one of the finest 36-hole country clubs in Texas. Players from as far away as Iowa and Mexico participated in this Golfweek ranked event with all Boys playing 6,516 yards and all girls playing 5,856 yards on the par-70 Pecan Course.
Weather was very nice (typical Fall weather in North Texas) with the wind being a bit more of a factor on Sunday. It was a great weekend for golf.
The next TJGT event is the Worldlink Open to played at Bridlewood GC in Flower Mound, TX. This is a Golfweek ranked event and will be played
