TJGT KICKS OFF NEW SEASON!
Rollins and Butler Take Home Titles In Inaugural Event
The Texas Junior Golf Tour kicked off the 2007-2008 season with a bang holding the Houston Kickoff Classic at the Walden on Lake Conroe Golf and Country Club.
Walden on Lake Conroe is located on beautiful Lake Conroe in Montgomery, Texas. It is a von Hagge and Devlin designed 18-hole course and is currently Ranked by Golf Digest as the #1 Private Club in the Houston Area. Hole #11 is also ranked as one of the top 500 holes in the WORLD.
Close to 90 players teed it up in sweltering heat that made this incredible course play a more on the tough side. The 16-18 boys played at 6,800 yards and the 12-15 boys 6,200 yards. Both the 12-15 and the 16-18 girls played at 5,350 yards.
Congratulations to all golfers who withstood the 100*+ heat both days! A special “thank you” goes out to the staff and crew at Walden on Lake Conroe. You were the perfect host for our Kick-Off Classic. We are looking forward to the new season of the Texas Junior Golf Tour and welcome its new staff.
