It's Tomboy Tirade's first anniversary and we're giving away Tirade goodies to 2 lucky listeners! Unfortunately, before they can celebrate, Persis and Raven die and go to Apple Heaven after Persis' computer explodes while watching a World Cup match. Bugger!
In this ethereal white and glossy world, they discover a grave of all the old Apple products that they discarded in years gone by. They also bump into their guests for the week - Christopher Cai, co-host of tech podcast, Launchbyte and developer with Viddsee, a brand new online film portal showcasing the best of Asian films. They also spot Tomboy Tirade's No.1 fan, their buddy, Geoff who is also Steve Jobs' illegitimate son and unofficial Apple groupie who are working tirelessly at the Apple workshop to crunch out products for X'Mas.
They talk about David O'Reilly's new virtual simulation mountain-trekking game which made waves at the recent E3 convention while Persis bitches about a disabled man in a mind-controlling robot suit featured in the World Cup opening, as if the disabled didn't have their own Paralympics to attend. What's up with these World Cup organisers?
Then it's time to take a piss at Apple shelling out USD$3.2 billion to buy Beats by Dre which the Tirade crew feel make the worst headphones ever made.
Meanwhile, Christopher gets wet over the developer friendly news at the recent 2014 WWDC, especially with SWIFT, a revolutionary new code that will change computing, while Geoff drools over the new iCloud and the new iOS, all the time sharpening his elvin knife as Christopher, Raven and Persis take the mickey out his father's company. (What's new eh?)
Then it's time for everyone to come up with their Apple wishlist. Geoff wants an i-Car and Raven some virtual glasses. It all goes well when Persis suddenly gets possessed by the spirit of an i-Pirate and Geoff tries to reconnect with his father, Steve Jobs.
Will Geoff finally be reunited with his long-lost father in Apple Heaven? You'll have to tune in to find out.
Plus, don't forget that we'll be giving away goodies on this first anniversary episode of ours. Tune in to find out how you can get your hands on these goodies.
