The first in a series of Advent messages focusing on Mary in Luke chapter 1 as the mother of Jesus. We see that Jesus Christ was born into humble circumstances, only to be exalted in glory. This pattern of humiliation and exultation represents Mary's story and consistently runs through scripture. We are called to contemplate Christ's humiliation and to look forward to his exalted return.
