Genesis 22 is one of the finest examples in Scripture of Hebrew wordplay serving theology. The message is not merely that God provides; it is that God sees the need before anyone else does, God sees to it Himself, and in doing so God reveals Himself. That progression—from seeing, to seeing to, to being seen—is the thread that ties Genesis 22 together.
