Well, The Walking Dead went dark on us for this episode, but a good dark. Is that even a thing?
That Rick Grimes is a complicated man (no one understands him but his woman...), but he embodies the savageness and the sensitivity well and both sides are in full effect here. It also really tugged at our heartstrings to see Michonne step in and fill so many roles for Carl: protector, comforter, advocate for his father and a safe person for him to discuss all of his jumbled emotions.
We left this episode 100% Team Rick. Trapped in a train car with no way out, surrounded by people with guns and all manner of weapons trained on you? No matter. Rick said they're screwing with the wrong people and that's all we needed to hear.
