The poet Gre­go­ry Scofield (Métis) dis­cuss­es his book Louis: The Heretic Poems which presents a series of stages of the life of Louis Riel, the Métis and First Nations peo­ples on the prairies. He offers the read­er insights into the cre­ative process where­by he takes orig­i­nal mate­r­i­al cre­at­ed and used by Riel and crafts an inspi­ra­tional look at the times and life of Riel.
