This week we ask a question everyone already knows the answers to.
We’re talking all things pets (yes, that’s domesticated animals)! If you love pets, you’ll hate Katherine who, inexplicably, hates pets.
Piers starts with an epic segment on Presidential pets. Did you know the Whitehouse has an animal conservatory? It makes so much sense. Too bad the animals don’t run the country.
Oh wait, according to Adam, animals do run countries! And we don’t mean human animals. This time it’s Canada taking the brunt of a random hound’s preferences. If you were like every other Canadian who revered Prime Minister William Lyon Mackenzie King, think again! He was obsessed with his Irish Terrier, Pat. Three of them. All named Pat. Enough said.
Jimmy reveals that the trend of Prime Minister’s obsessed with their dogs stretches around the world to Australia. Meet former Prime Minister of Australia, Malcolm Turnbull, or, more importantly, meet his dog who has a blog. Yes, JoJo The Dog writes a blog, in his own "voice,” and it’s officially sanctioned by the Prime Minister, someone who was elected to lead a nation. Would JoJo be OK with this if JoJo actually had a voice??
Finally, Katherine asks if dogs are a separate species than grey wolves from which they were descended? No one understands the question. No one really knows the answer. If only we’d asked JoJo, or one of the Prime Minister’s staffers, who put it so eloquently, “Anyway - back to being a dog.”
