Health at Every Size (HAES) is NOT at all suggesting that someone is healthy at every size. In fact, if someone says that HAES stands for “Healthy at Every Size,” then they really don’t understand what they’re talking about. Yes, the one letter makes a difference. Now read this paragraph again.
DEFINITION: Health at Every Size is a framework that talks about access to healthcare. It states that everybody has the right to work toward health and have equal access to healthcare. That’s the main point.
So what does that even mean, and how can you apply the framework of HAES? I’m breaking it all down in today’s episode.
