Description

Season two opens on the most basic question you can ask about a piece of software: when you use it, where does your document actually go? A pile of scanned paper that isn't searchable, three ways to pay for the fix and what each one costs you, and why the one you can't undo is the interesting one. Then the idea underneath it — Epictetus on sorting the world into what's up to you and what isn't — and why software divides along exactly the same line. Featuring LocalOCR, the Mac app built on that argument, and an honest account of what it does and doesn't yet prove.
