Amul Dairy at Anand is one of the largest milk producers’ unions in Gujarat, India, manufacturing various dairy products. Their traditional Ghee production setup caused operational challenges, which had a major impact on the performance, resulting in fat losses up to 2%.
With the newly developed GEA serum Separator, Amul was able to reduce the fat losses from 2 % to 0.3 % while increasing their Ghee production capacity by 30 % – without any additional investment in their plant.
