North Dakota State shook off a tough loss in the fourth set and defeated South Dakota in five sets in a Summit League match on Tuesday.
The Bison won 19-25, 25-22, 25-23, 21-25, 15-11.
Tie 2-2, the Bison came out strong in the fifth set, leading throughout aside from a couple ties early on. The Coyotes pulled within one at 12-11 but a Michelle Glover kill and two kills from Syra Tanchin ended the match.
Tanchin had 26 kills and hit .475 and Glover had 18 kills and hit .577. Tanchin also had 11 digs and Glover had four blocks. Setter Kelley Johnson had 55 assists and 10 digs.
