Moorhead Spuds defensive lineman Elinneus Davis has verbally committed to play football for the Washington Huskies, he announced Tuesday night, July 12, via social media.
"I feel so blessed," Davis said. "My parents (Elinneus and Susan) raised me to be the best that I could be. ... I never thought I would be in this position. I'm so grateful for everything."
The 6-foot-3, 295-pound Davis had nearly double-digit NCAA Division I offers, including Minnesota, Iowa State and North Dakota State. Iowa State, Minnesota and Washington were his three finalists.
