Description

England & Wales Blind Golf is a registered charity that makes golf accessible for people who are blind or visually impaired. It provides opportunities for exercise, competition, confidence building, and social connection, welcoming players of all ages and abilities and classifying them by sight level to ensure fair play while celebrating the inclusivity and joy of the game. On this episode of The Wednesday Match Play Podcast, brought to you by Eden Mill St Andrews, Andy shares his story about being visually impaired. He talks about having other heightened senses due to his lack of vision, introduces England & Wales Blind Golf, and explains what a typical event looks like. Andy also reminisces about his time at TPC Sawgrass. He details their junior programming, shares information about their partnership with Golf Care, and outlines the size and importance of the British Blind Masters. This was a refreshing conversation and an absolute honor having Andy on the show. Let's tee off.
