Books have always played a big role in Christina's life.
She worked in corporate marketing for 10 years. After being laid off in 2019 she decided to follow her passion, her dream of opening a book store. It started with pop ups and selling out of her 2nd bedroom.
Christina signed the lease for her new space in Somerville in early 2020, moving in a couple months later at the same time the Pandemic hit! That didn't stop her from being able to get started with curbside delivery until she could officially open the doors. And when she did, it was just her for a long time!
Today she's got a staff and a fierce community that follows her Queer/Feminist Book Store.
She's currently facing another challenge, rising rent costs but again is not letting it stop her. She's been able to find a new location and with the help of her staff and community are able to move it along! New location is opening in October!
