"Even lighting another candle doesn't take away from the flame that started the fire"
This is something that Triple Decker Candle Co owner said to me on our first meeting, in regard to helping others and paying it forward. Pretty much sets the tone to the type of person she is.
On this episode we chat about how, with no real creative background (according to her :)) Johanna had a love for burning candles and decided to do some research into making her own. This all just started in June of 2020 - mid pandemic! Who didn't need something to do! She did a ton of research into the best, safest, most organic products, processes and even small business insurance.
Johanna's business has since taken off to be sold locally in at least 4 stores, on line at Triple Decker Candle Co. and she's giving back to her Dorchester community too!
