The tale of the towering tornadoes in Twisters reminds us of an occurrence that happened to our editor. He and his female researcher were sheltering in a house's basement when they were caught in the center of a hurricane while covering a story. Although Tiffany, his researcher, managed to make it and was clinging on for dear life, our Editor was blown off his feet by the wind before he could reach the basement stairs. While he was happily unharmed, he told his wife that Tiffany "went down below and had got a good grip whilst I was trying to stand up before I got blown off" when he called her. When our editor got home, he discovered his possessions.
