Ich schaute, I looked, nach links und rechts, to my left and right. Auf Englisch scheint links und rechts mir zu gehören: to my left and right.
…aber da stand niemand. …but there was nobody. Wörtlich heißt es kein Körper, no body. Und zusammengeschrieben ist es niemand, nobody.
Meinen, mean, meant, meant. Er hatte mich gemeint! He had meant me!
