In this episode host Sondra Doty shares more about her own health story from the last few months. She breaks down authentic-living with chronic illness and health issues. As she has walk through and recovered from another set of health issues and roadblocks, Sondra found it hard to know how to authentically share her struggles and needs.
Perhaps you also find it challenging to know how to share authentically in your own life and through certain circumstances. Remember, your story is your story. It can be challenging not to worry about what others will think. It's important, however, to move past that. You never know who needs to hear and who can relate.
Host Sondra Doty read the book, You Are Free Be Who You Already Are, by Rebekah Lyons.
These two quotes helped Sondra in her recent time of healing:
Sondra would like to challenge her listeners to reach out to someone they know is struggling with chronic illness or health issues. Don't try to fix their circumstance; just be someone to hold space for them. If you haven't suffered with chronic illness, it can be challenging to relate to those that have, but it starts with trying. Try to come from a place of empathy and compassion.
