How do you take your coffee?
Coffee has come a long way since black coffee in a tin can, LOL!
In this episode host Sondra Doty shares stories around how her grandparents built their community around a cup of coffee and a kitchen table. Sondra shares how she desires to have her grandmother's heart of building community and welcoming others.
In what area have you made community more complicated? Do you find it hard to build community where you are at. Maybe you have created barriers to doing so: Your house isn't clean enough, you're not a good cook or you're fearful of meeting others' expectations.
Don't shelter yourself from community because of your external or internal circumstances. Don't let fear stop you from opening your door. True community happens face to face.
Similarly, do you find it hard to connect with other parents or moms? Maybe consider joining something like MOPS International (Mothers of Preschoolers). https://www.mops.org/ Or others organizations/groups that bring people together with similar seasons of life.
Let's take the time to look at all areas of our lives that we have made too complicated. Parenting, relationships, community-building, and more. Start with one area and break down the barriers. Ask someone out for coffee or join a group today!
