A few months ago, we interviewed artist Jordan Wolfson for the FW 23-24 issue of CURA magazine. The occasion was the unveiling of his 4.5M USD animatronic installation, Body Sculpture, which is on view through April 28, 2024 at Australia’s National Gallery in Canberra. We spoke with Jordan for nearly 4 hours across two days of recording but very little of that conversation made it onto the printed page. The reason is understandable and is one that, for us, unlocked something interesting about his work, this new piece in particular. So we ended up writing an additional 1700 words about “Body Sculpture,” which we’re publishing here as audio.
