We are glad you are here for this week's study and, more importantly, God is pleased! In fact, that is what we are talking about in this series called Live to Please. What we are learning is that God is way more concerned about WHY we do the things we do more than WHAT we actually do. Think about it for a second. Have you ever said or done good things on the outside but for the wrong reasons on the inside? Oftentimes as men we want others to think about us a certain way and in order to achieve that goal we need to build an image or create a perception publicly that privately our hearts deny. Our actions are inconsistent with our real desires or real opinions. There's a word for that ...it is called acting! The relationship isn't real because it is built on misplaced or selfish motives. In Part 1 we learned from looking at Jesus' life how pleasing God works. In Part 2 we are going to look pleasing God is rooted in the heart because that is what God is examining. We are going to answer the question: when God looks at my heart what is he actually wanting to see? But before we dive into to today's study share this powerful session with your friends.
