- This month, we focus on conflict through a passage in Acts.
- Conflict can arise unexpectedly and must be handled appropriately.

- Relationships are prone to conflict:
- Close relationships have more opportunities for conflict.
- Paul and Barnabas were close friends and ministry partners.
- Colossians 3:13-15: Make allowance for each other’s faults and forgive.
- Conflict can arise out of nowhere:
- John Mark’s abandonment became an issue years later.
- Christians must prepare to deal with conflict.
- James 1:19-20: Be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry.
- Even Christians will disagree:
- Paul and Barnabas, respected leaders, had a sharp disagreement.
- Conflict is common among Christians, even in church settings.
- James 3:17: Wisdom from above is peace-loving and gentle.
Closing:
- Proverbs 15:1, Proverbs 12:18: Respond with gentle and wise words.
- Conflict is inevitable; be prepared to respond appropriately.
- How you handle conflict can be a powerful witness of your relationship with Christ.
