The first time that we experience anything new in life, it is more special. When a person takes their first deer, they experience a range of emotions, and this hunt will be forever embedded in my memory. Although it happened circa 30 years ago, this adventure still feels like it was yesterday. In this episode, I describe the setup - features of the land that helped me harvest my first whitetail. This will become a regular segment on the Real World Redneck Podcast on the first show that releases each month. These episodes with be "killer setups" that worked for me in the past. I will describe what made/makes that particular spot such a good one, and hopefully we can all learn from it! Also, whenever possible, I am going to record those shows outside from where they actually happened. This has become a part of the podcast, and hopefully it will provide context and flavor. Although these will primarilly be deer hunting stories, occasionally other topics will be covered. If I have a good fishing story or a tale from a turkey, dove, squirrel, or other game animal, I will pass that on as well.
