Last week I spoke at a 2-day event in Brisbane called IN BUSINESS IN HEALTH and Glen Richards, one of the Sharks from the Australian Shark Tank, gave a 45-minute presentation about his journey from a country kid in western Queensland all the way through to becoming the newest member on the Shark Tank.
It was an inspiring story and it made me realise that success is possible for anyone willing to put in the hard work. Some of the information and success traits shared by Glen Richards overlapped with an upcoming podcast episode I recorded recently with Wilson Lawrence, which is scheduled for release in about a months time.
Wilson Lawrence and I talk about 5 Ways to Approach Adversity and I thought these five traits fitted in perfectly with Glen Richards story, so I've taken a snippet from my upcoming podcast with Wilson and thought I would share it in this weeks Five Minute Friday because the information is so good.
5 Ways to Approach Adversity 1. Have confidence
2. Keep perspective
3. Schedule Action (Have Intention)
4. Ask for help
5. Honour the struggle
Successful People Also Show The Following Traits 1. They are prepared to put themselves out there. They take risks.
2. They are willing to work harder than most people.
3. They are willing to take advice from others, not just when times are bad.
4. They associate with like-minded positive people.
5. They never forget where they started, and they know where they're going.
