Description

In This Episode, You’ll Hear About
Megan’s passion for Health and Healthcare improvement began with her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from Husson University and sprinkled in everything in which she engages. Well-designed technology and processes are at the core of her quest.

Megan manages the Health Informatics Programs in the College of Graduate and Professional Studies at the University of New England. Her passion for Health Informatics is a direct result of her earning her Master in Health Administration Informatics from Saint Joseph University and her intensive hands-on work in Emergency Nursing and Clinical Informatics. Her nursing career taught her that at the heart of all care is a need for systems that are skillfully designed for the entire care team – which includes the patient and their support system.

Now her days are spent building a team of faculty who share her passion for Healthcare Innovation, Access and Quality. Megan believes that quality technology tools and processes can impact healthcare outcomes across the globe. Bringing the study of Consumer Informatics, patient engagement, health disruption and innovation to her students around the world is critical to Megan’ work at UNE.
