Description

Cities are important sites of resistance and now, more than ever, we must focus our energies and resources on shaping a new, better “normality” for the near post-pandemic future, starting from the city as a social and political arena, in the framework of the growing global municipalist movement, which places cities at the centre of a new concept of citizenship.nnThe tangible relationships between neighbours are a crucial factor of this concept and neighbourhood relationships are fundamentally intertwined with the topic of housing. This is why we want to debate an essential question: How can we guarantee housing in post-pandemic cities? What conclusions do we draw from the current crisis for housing policies in the present and in future? nnWe will talk about this issue in this event co-organized by Barcelona en Comú and Coalizione Civica per Bologna. The panel is as follows: Lucía Martín (Barcelona en Comú), Emily Clancy (Coalizione Civica per Bologna), Marta Nalin (Coalizione Civica per Padova), Céline Papin (EELV Bordeaux) and Elisabeth Clausen-Muradian (Greens of Hannover).
