Dana Simpson
Dana Simpson is a proud Two Maids & A Mop – Montgomery franchise owner! As an absentee owner, she is still able to focus on both her home and personal life. She loves the opportunities that the franchise has brought her because like most women, she wears many hats! She is not only a business owner, but a Stay Home Mother and aspiring Inspirational Speaker and lives to balance all 3 of them equally.
Some of what we talked about:
Buying a franchise bought her income and the ability to stay home and have a second baby
Her franchise location is about 1 1/2 hours from her home- she runs it from her home
She has a pay-for-performance program: Cleaners are paid by the ratings of their customers
Guarantees customer satisfaction
Dana only works about 9 hours per week on the business and has replaced her income to be very close to what she was making in the corporate world working 45 hours per week
Vulnerability is a gift
Works on balance daily
Admits when wrong

Here are her top 3 tips to Live Alive:
1. Choose to be happy – Surround yourself with positive influences. Also, be sure you are being that positive influence on others around you! Find 2-3 friends that you will ‘do life’ with. Let these women be your rock, who you will share your darkest secrets and biggest dreams. They will be your encouragement, when you don’t believe in yourself.
2. Deal with the Pain – If there is something you are holding on to and its seems to be holding you back, admit it and let it go. Whatever it is you are dragging behind you, is only slowing you down. Get the help you need, so you can be free. Your friends, you “do life” with will help keep you moving forward.
3. Love on Yourself – Not to love yourself, but to love on yourself. It is easy for us women to get caught up in the business of life, taking care of everyone else. Make sure to take time out of your schedule to love on yourself and do something that will fill you back up. It can be a simple change, like taking a new route to work, or put something on the calendar to look forward to, like date night or a girl’s trip. Whatever it is, do something for yourself. It will make you a better person and able to live more alive! No matter what life throws at you.
