Derek Miller
Derek Miller has built an digital entertainment company from 2 to 25 employees, raised over $4 million on Kickstarter, launched three seasons of a show with an NBCU affiliate, and increased profitability across every single aspect of his business. He has also managed international convention touring, merchandise, animation, contract negotiations, mediation, financial modeling, digital marketing, and web analytics.
Derek is the author of the upcoming book Six Figure Crowdfunding, featuring interviews with creators who have collectively raised over $20 million on Kickstarter and Indiegogo. He does limited crowdfunding consulting for early-stage startups wanting to raise capital without giving up equity or control and he’s been featured on crowdfunding podcasts (Crowdfunding Demystified, Crowdfunding Uncut) and has lectured at SMU for their entrepreneurship club on crowdfunding.
Additionally, he volunteers at UT Dallas and The Capacitor as a mentor for young entrepreneurs.
