In 2003, a smart and eccentric young woman named Kelly Bullwinkle was attending college and had her whole life ahead of her. Her two best friends, Damien and Kinzie, were doing the same. The three friends lived in the small town of Redlands, California and had been friends since high school. Kelly, a talented writer, was looking forward to pursuing studies in psychology and creative writing at Sonoma State University in Northern California. Sadly, Kelly would not live to get that opportunity. On the night of September 13, 2003, Kinzie and Kelly drove to a local orange grove to hang out together and smoke some pot, or so Kelly thought. Damien was going to meet them there as well. Two days later, Kelly would be reported missing and a massive search for her ensued. Kelly’s dead body would eventually be found and the investigation into her death began. Was Kelly’s death just a bad joke gone awry, or something more sinister?
