"Stop and Smell the Roses" was released in October of 1981. The song "Wrack My Brain", earned Sir Richard Starkey his first hit single after a couple of commercial failures. It was written and produced by George Harrison. The album also features contributions of usual collaborators as Paul McCartney, Harry Nilsson, as well as new ones as Ronnie Wood and Stephen Stills. Despite the new direction, Sir Richard Starkey took with this album, it also failed to find commercial success.
