and highly sophisticated therapeutic program, level system and token economy that assists the staff in
modifying behaviors using a rational that adolescent girls understand, as well as point to the direct
consequences of their behavior. Teaching interactions, role-plays, positive correction activities, and skills
such as: accepting the decisions of others, appropriately disagreeing, developing empathy for others, and
expressing feelings help students replace inappropriate behavior with socially appropriate
behavior.
