Fusion Academy's one teacher to one student per subject approach provides an educational environment that
goes beyond academics to create a better, more compassionate, creative and industrious human being. Gilman
and her colleagues believe that creating a better human on the planet is a much higher calling in the long
run than creating the next accountant or the next lawyer. They want our kids to leave feeling more
confident, more aware of themselves, more accepting of both their strengths and their weaknesses, and on a
path that will lead to success in all areas of their lives.
ABOUT MICHELLE GILMAN
Michelle Rose Gilman, President and Founder, started Fusion Academy in 1989 with six students. She holds a
Bachelors of Science degree in Specialized Education from the University of South Florida. Prior to launching
Fusion Academy, she spent 17 years creating social-skills and self-esteem workshops for children of all ages.
Michelle is the author of ten books geared toward students and their parents.
