percent. This sad state of affairs will never improve until students develop a love for reading. Until they
begin to read solely for pleasure. Our guest, Laurice Molinari author of Pillars of Fire and the best-selling
book and movie, My Girl, providing books that pique their interest can be the beginning of a lifelong
interest in reading. She states, "The only reward our children need to get them to read is to give them a
