A Pointed Reminder—is the story of how Samuel, the leader of Israel at that point, set up a stone of remembrance and said, “Thus far the Lord has helped us.” This victory monument was not merely to focus Israel on past victories but on the Lord, his present provision and future promises. The same God who gave his help at that time is looking for present-day followers who will declare his works in this generation. The message brings this ancient practice into the present day in our lives and the life of Island Christian Church.
