Alas, we did not go through the genealogy of Jesus - but if you'd like to do that on your own, just open up to Matthew, chapter 1 and go to town.  Instead, we talk about who Mary is and why she is so important in our own individual lives and within the life of the Church.  She is mentor, companion, example and mother to us.  And today, we celebrate her birthday.
