Joe Block has worked as a TV and radio play-by-play broadcaster for the Pittsburgh Pirates since 2016. Block has called Major League Baseball play-by-play for nine years, and 17 seasons of pro ball, previously working with the Milwaukee Brewers and in the minor leagues in Billings, Mont., Great Falls, Mont., Jacksonville, Fla., St. Paul, Minn., and Charleston, S.C. He also broadcast for the Los Angeles Dodgers and Montreal Expos, the NBA’s New Orleans Hornets, and for various regional TV networks calling major college football, basketball and baseball since graduating from Michigan State University in 1999.
