Description

â€œTo be married is to give oneself to another
person in the most intimate and inclusive of human relationships, to support
him or her for good in every way possible – physically, emotionally, and
spiritually, of course, but in every conceivable dimension of his or her being
with the goal of being a constant blessing to one another and the world.”

(Dallas Willard)

We will always have opportunities to take exit ramps.

Colossians 2:8

See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit,
according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world,
and not according to Christ.

Small exits eventually lead to big exits.

Proverbs 27:12

The prudent see danger and take refuge, but the simple keep going and pay the
penalty.

Our goal is to invest and enjoy the journey so much we don’t
consider taking the exits.

Hebrews 12:1-2

Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of
witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin
which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is
set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who
for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat
down at the right hand of the throne of God.
