Description

Joe De Sena is the founder and CEO of Spartan Race, the world's leading brand in Obstacle Course Racing that holds over 200 events in over 40 countries each year. Through Spartan, he has created a community that has touched the lives of over 1 million people by promoting grit, discipline, and "purposeful suffering". Not only has Joe created a company that tests other people's limits, he has also gone through the ringer himself, competing in over 50 Ultra Endurance events, 12 of them being Iron Man events that he did in 12 months! And if that wasn't crazy enough, he also carries around a super heavy kettlebell around with him everywhere he goes because he is always training for life. He is a New York Times best selling author of three different books, with his most recent one being "The Spartan Way". He is the host of the Spartan Up! Podcast and his work has been featured by CNBC, Fox, TEDx, and ABC.
In this episode, Joe and I talk about why you must do hard things in order to live a fulfilling life, how to handle difficulty and adversity with ease, and how to manage huge goals while also focusing on the small goals.
