Description

Dr. Jamey Harrison is a dedicated and experienced professional whose connection with the UIL runs deep. Having been actively involved in UIL events as a student at his alma mater High School, Hardin-Jefferson High School, he participated in athletics, academics, and music, Harrison's passion for these activities influenced his career path as a teacher and coach. With a strong educational background, including serving on the Legislative Council as a superintendent, Harrison has consistently worked towards enhancing the academic and extracurricular experiences of Texas students. Prior to his current role, he served as the superintendent of Bridge City ISD for 4 years and has held various positions in public education for over 14 years, including teacher, principal, and deputy superintendent. Outside of his professional life, Harrison is supported by his family, including his wife Chelle, a former teacher, and their two sons, Jackson and Jett.
