Description

Paul makes a forceful argument that God has not finished with Israel. Despite rejecting Yeshua, God intends to keep the covenant He made with them. It is based in part on our Torah portion, Deuteronomy 32. There Moses tells the people what will happen to them when they turn away to serve other gods. Terrible times will come- famine, war, and exile- but they are not the end of the story. Moses makes it clear that after all that has come upon them, God will restore them, returning them to their land to serve God faithfully forever. Paul uses Moses, David, and Isaiah to prove that God's plan to include Gentiles in the blessing of Messiah did not- could not- exclude the Jewish people from their covenant blessings.
