Description

You hear this all the time, right? "I'm a Good Person". or "I have a Good Heart". or this one: "Well, I'm only human!"

I have to be truthful, I've said these things! The fact is, most of us would consider ourselves to be pretty good people.

Here's the thing. I used to think that every decision I made in life could be traced back to a decision leading to life or death, no matter how trivial the subject. That was just a core philosophy. That original thought was rooted in my secular lifestyle before I came to believe in God. It was a decision rooted in worldly survival. Now, the thought is the same, but survival is not the same. Every decision I make now is rooted in God or Not God. I still don't always choose right but at least I have the right frame of mind.. Eternal survival... not worldly survival or worldly existence.

Jesus makes this plainly clear in Luke 18:9–14. That where we are on the Red-Letter trail. Like a fly on the wall, we get to listen to the prayers of the Pharisee and the Tax Collector.
